We offer tailored visits for Key Stage 1.
Our Key Stage 1 visits are based around storytelling, followed by a tour of the Cathedral, but we are happy to adapt to suit your class.
Our stories include Old Testament stories, the life and parables of Jesus, the legend of Saint Frideswide (patron saint of Oxford), and stories of famous people associated with the Cathedral, such as Dean Liddell’s daughter Alice, who inspired Lewis Carroll to write his classic books for children.
We can also introduce pupils to the life and history of the Cathedral, and include some practical activities, such as brass rubbing.
To arrange a visit please contact Jackie Holderness, Cathedral Education Officer.
Please apply at least four weeks in advance.
There is unfortunately no parking at Christ Church, but it is possible to drop off pupils outside the College.
The nearest places for coaches to park are the local Park and Ride facilities.
