Sixth Form Seminars
Each term we offer a seminar to approximately 30 local sixth form students led by one of our Canon Professors on topics relevant to the AS and A Level syllabus. Previous seminar topics have included Morality and War, Ethics and the Recession and the Philosophy of a Suffering God. This is a chance for students to join with other schools and be taught by world experts in the fields they are studying, and also have a taste of university-style learning.
Seminars cost £2.50 per student (plus VAT) which includes refreshments. To find out about upcoming seminars and to book, please contact hannah.stammers@chch.ox.ac.uk or telephone the Education Department between Wednesday and Friday on 01865 286003.
We are also happy to set up a seminar for your school. Topics available are:

Feedback
'The seminar was good in terms of developing key skills, as the students had a chance to discuss things, and it was a good opportunity for them to listen to a university-style talk. The organisation and information provided before the visit was outstanding.' (Philosophy teacher, The Dearne Advanced Learning Centre, Barnsley)
