## Academic Background

I received a BA in Mathematics from the University of Denver in 2003; then an MSc and PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Delaware in 2008; from 2008-2010 I was the Hanno Rund Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Arizona; I joined Oxford in 2010 as a postdoctoral researcher at the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics.

## Undergraduate Teaching

Between Arizona and Delaware, I taught all levels of Calculus, Ordinary differential equations, and various mathematical modelling courses. At Oxford I have been a tutor for Techniques of Applied Mathematics.

## Research Interests

I am interested in developing mathematical models to understand growth processes from a mechanical perspective. Specifically, we have looked at growth in airways related to the disease asthma, plants and trees, and the intricate and diverse structures seen on seashells.
