Academic background
Elinor holds a BA in Natural Sciences (Cambridge), and an MSc in Forestry and Land use (Oxford), and a D.Phil in Geography and the Environment (Oxford). For her doctorate Elinor used palaeoecological techniques to study the long-term ecology (last 10,000 years) and vegetation dynamics of grasslands and savannas in South Africa, with a view to informing current conservation and management.

Physical geography.
Research Interests
Long-term vegetation dynamics, changes in C3 and C4 vegetation through time, forest ecosystem stability through time and creating a proxy for measuring UV-B through time.
