Dr Yee completed a BA at the University of Sydney in English and French Literature. She continued her studies in Paris with a French Government Scholarship to complete a Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies in French literature at the University of Paris VII, followed by a Doctorat on French colonial literature. She taught English language and literature briefly at the Université de Toulouse-le-Mirail, and was then a Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in French at the University of Newcastle. She has been a tutor at Christ Church since January 2005.
