Marriage at Christ ChurchThe Cathedral is a wonderful setting for a marriage service. If you are planning to marry and are interested in the possibility of having the ceremony at Christ Church, the following information is important. Marriages in the Cathedral can only take place with the permission of the Dean and Chapter. The guidelines they use in deciding whether marriages can take place are as follows:
If you are a member of the college and would like information about marriages at Christ Church, contact The College Chaplain, the Reverend Ralph Williamson ( ralph.williamson@chch.ox.ac.uk). If you are a member of the cathedral congregation and would like more information about marriages at Christ Church, contact the Precentor, the Reverend John Paton, ( john.paton@chch.ox.ac.uk). If you would like more information about how the church understands marriage, or would like to see copies of the services authorised for use, please go to the Church of England website's information on marriage. PhotographyThe picture above was taken by Ralph Williamson. There are many creative and highly capable wedding photographers to choose from, and it important that you choose someone whose style and approach you are happy with. Among them you may also wish to consider Maurice Gordon, K.T. Bruce, Bi Scott or Stuart Beeb.
