University Newcomers’ Club
New to Oxford?
The Oxford University Newcomers’ Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Road, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, of graduate students and of newly appointed academic members of the University. It offers help, advice, information and the opportunity to meet others socially.
Informal coffee mornings are held at the Club every Wednesday, 10.30 - 12 noon from 0th week to 9th week, inclusive.
Newcomers with children (0-4) meet every Friday in term 10.15 - 11.45.
There is a large programme of events, including tours of colleges, museums and other places of interest. Other term-time activities include conversation group, garden group, walks and an opportunity to explore Oxfordshire.
