29 June - Chemistry Dinner: Retirement of Dr Martin Grossel

On Saturday 29th June there will be a dinner in Hall to celebrate the teaching of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the House. This evening will mark the retirement of Dr Martin Grossel, who has been associated with Christ Church since 1973.

13 July - Visit to Firle Place, East Sussex

The Christ Church Association is delighted to invite all Members of the House, families and friends on a visit to Firle Place on Saturday 13th July. 

Our visit will include a behind-the-scenes tour of the house and gardens, and a champagne afternoon tea.

 

 

 

14 September - 1963 50th Anniversary Reunion

1963 matriculands are invited to dinner at the House on Saturday 14th September, in order to celebrate their 50th year anniversary. 

16 September - 1958 55th Anniversary Reunion

1958 matriculands are invited to celebrate their 55th year anniversary with dinner at the House. 

20 September - Rhodes Scholars Anniversary Supper

 

Former Rhodes Scholars are invited to an informal reception and supper at Christ Church on Friday 20th September, to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Rhodes Trust.

 

21 September - Christ Church Association Dinner & Drama

 

On the University Alumni weekend, the Association will be holding a dinner in Hall with a performance of William Gager’s Dido (1583), staged by Early Drama at Oxford (EDOX). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

29 September - South West Event: Topsham, Exeter

The Christ Church Association is pleased to invite all Members of the House, Families and Friends to a Sunday gathering on the 29th September 2013 in Topsham, Exeter.

Enjoy a day of tours and wine tastings, and Sunday lunch at Darts Farm. 

6 November - Medics Event at the Royal College of Surgeons

Medics and scientists, past and present, are invited to a special event at the Royal College of Surgeons on Wednesday 6th November.

The evening will begin with a talk by Professor Simon Kay (1970), Consultant in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Professor James Neuberger (1968), Medical Director of NHS Blood and Transplant. They will be discussing 'Are new developments in transplantation sinister or inspiring?'
