To coincide with the University North American Reunion in San Francisco, and the Cathedral Choir Tour, the Development and Alumni Office have organised the following schedule of events for this April. We are emailing everyone in North America this time, so that those of you who may be travelling and find yourself in the right place to be able to attend may register an interest. Please email simon.offen@chch.ox.ac.uk to do so and for further information.

 

April 3-6. New York City.

The Dean and Development team in NYC.

Wednesday 4th  Informal Drinks Reception and Brexit Talk led by Dr David Hine. Venue tbc. 6 – 8pm.

Thursday 5th  American Friends of Christ Church Dinner incl. a short Choral recital at the Harvard Club. 6.30 -10pm.

This event is an opportunity to say farewell to Professor Stephen Darlington, who came up in 1971 and became the Music Tutor in 1985, and also a chance to support the Cathedral Music Trust.

(The American Friends of Christ Church will be sending out invitations to those in the greater NY area in February.)

Friday 6th  Choir Tour: Concert at Saint Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue, NY. 7.30

 

April 6-8. The University Alumni Weekend in San Francisco.

Friday 6th University Reception and Dinner.

Saturday 7th  American Friends of Christ Church Dinner at Boulevard Restaurant. 7 for 7.30pm. One Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94105.

(The American Friends of Christ Church will be sending out invitations to those in the SF area in February.)

 

Monday 9th Choir Tour: Concert at Virginia Theological Seminary, Alexandria, VA.

There will be a drinks reception after the concert for alumni and friends. Venue tbc. Please contact aileen.thomson@chch.ox.ac.uk to book.

Tuesday 10th Informal reception in DC. Details tbc.

 

April 9-10. Los Angeles

Dr Hine, Lord Charles Cecil (Chairman of the Development Board), Mark Coote and Simon Offen in Los Angeles.

Tuesday 10th Reception at the John Paul Getty Museum, 4-7pm, with grateful thanks to the Director, Tim Potts. Invitations will be sent to those living in S. California next week.

 

April 11th. Denver supper

Wednesday 11th Choir Tour: Davidson College Presbyterian Church, Davidson, NC

Aileen Thomson will be there.

 

April 12-13. Chicago.
