Memorial featuring the name of Lieutenant ParkerRupert Hardy was born in Grantham, the only son of Charles John Ernest Parker and his wife Louise.

He was educated at Wellington College, as was his father, and would have come up to Christ Church in 1914 had he not commenced service on 21 October. He was a Lieutenant with the 2nd Battalion, the Lincolnshire Regiment.

He was killed on 2 December 1917 and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 35 to 37 and 162 to 162A.

His name is on The Morton (by Bourne) Lincolnshire memorial.

He left £80-10s-2d. Probate was granted to his father on 16 January 1919.
