The Oxford Collision Ensemble is a performance platform for contemporary composers, facilitating the practical development of compositions through workshops and concerts with various instrumentalists. It is a space for the new and experimental, welcoming thought-provoking soundscapes. Our concert material incorporates creative uses of instrumentation and mixed-media performances. Framed by the exhibition milieu of the Christ Church Picture Gallery, our next concert, the Gallery Collision, will embody the merging of sound and visual art through the innovative utterances of music and poetry striving to engage with the Gallery space. Composers and poets include Isabel Stoppani de Berrié, Nigel McBride, Anna Krause, Andrew Watts, Annemari Ferreira, Thomas Clucas and Luke Lewis with works ranging from formalist experiments
