Christ Church Picture Gallery Patrons Group

Christ Church Picture Gallery has recently launched a Patrons Group. The purpose of this scheme is to support the Gallery financially and to offer special benefits to its members. With a small number of Patrons already subscribing, we are now seeking to bring the Group up to twenty five members.

Apart from the income gained from visitors, the Picture Gallery is funded solely by Christ Church. The Patrons Group will play an important part in enabling us to enhance and broaden visitor experience, to realise our educational vocation and to help with additional projects, which will go beyond the core funding of this outstanding collection.

The joining fees are £1,500 per year for a single person and £2,500 for a double subscription. Membership to the Patrons Group will be for a minimum of three years.

In recognition of their valuable help, the Patrons will have:

• Free access to the Picture Gallery
• Invitations to an annual lecture and dinner at Christ Church
• Invitations to all private views and openings
• Information on events and exhibitions
• Information on all the improvements that have been achieved with their help
• The opportunity to view the Picture Gallery’s collection of paintings and drawings outside opening hours (by prior arrangement) with the Curator of the Picture Gallery

Planned improvements which we would otherwise not be able to finance will include:

• New lighting and refurbishment of the Drawings Gallery
• Publications to accompany our exhibitions
• More ambitious in-house exhibitions, including loans from other institutions
• Audio Guides
