“The Voices of the Press in an Open Society”
Evgeny Alexandrovich Lebedev is the chairman of Evening Standard Ltd and Independent Print Ltd. He is the son of Russian business magnate Alexander Lebedev. Evgeny is an avid supporter of the arts and chairs the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. He is the founder and chairman of the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation which was established in 2006 with Mikhail Gorbachev, to raise money for children with cancer. Evgeny has spent most of his life in Britain and is based in London.
