Rambert Ballet after Eight

Ross McKim, the Principal and Artistic Director of the Rambert School was the guest at Christ Church Cathedral's dramatic After Eight service on November the 8th. Ross was formerly a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Danish Ballet and the London Contemporary Dance Theatre. He also has a doctorate in Theology. He was accompanied by dancers and musicians from the Rambert School who performed during the service. The After Eight services on Sunday evenings are an exciting development for the cathedral... £5 million Parkinson’s study

The Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Consortium, a team of world-class researchers at the University of Oxford led by Christ Church Tutor Dr Richard Wade-Martins (left), has been awarded £5 million over five years for new research into how Parkinson’s Disease develops and progresses, after being chosen from a shortlist of seven UK research teams by an international review panel for the The Monument Discovery Award, a new award funded by The Monument Trust.

Tower Poetry Summer School

The 6th Tower Poetry Summer School (25-28 August) for young poets aged 18-23 has been held in Christ Church.  Jane Draycott and Frances Leviston have been inspiring tutors for the group of 14 students from throughout the UK and Wednesday evening’s reading was further enhanced by a reading from Michael Schmidt, Professor of Poetry, University of Glasgow and Editorial & Managing Director of Carcanet.
