OxLIP+ is the gateway providing access to extensive collection of databases, electronic reference works and e-Journals and e-Book packages.
SOLO is the online catalogue for the majority of Oxford’s electronic and printed library collections. You can use it to find printed and electronic books and journals, plus other items such as theses, conference proceedings, official and government papers, audio visual materials, maps, music and much more.
Members of Oxford University are able to access electronic resources remotely. The Library Services currently recommend that readers download the VPN (Virtual Private Network) software to enable access to resources when off-campus. Step by step instructions are at: www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/network/vpn/oucs-service/
Most database suppliers will be offering an institutional log-in using the Oxford Single Sign-On instead (this is the same as your WebAuth or Herald userid and password). For information about the Oxford Single Sign-On see www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/sers/resources/ssoathens
Computers in the Library
All tables in the East and West Libraries have plug sockets and ethernet points to which you are welcome to connect a portable computer. Please consult the college computing officer for advice on configuring your portable computer to use the college ethernet.
