An exhibition focusing on the Christ Church Library early corpus of maps, globes, and charts in manuscripts and printed volumes. It is an examination of the human endeavour to find ways to mirror the world we inhabit, showing that the content of any given map is as much determined by culture, historical circumstances and the interests of map makers and map users as it is by the geography that it attempts to depict. The exhibitions is organized in three main sections: Finding Our Way, Mapping the World and Zooming into Places (Jerusalem and Oxford)
The exhibition will be open in Christ Church Upper Library between
