Finding the Library
Travelling to OxfordParking in the centre of Oxford is difficult and expensive. If you have to come by car, you are advised to use the Park and Ride scheme. There are good train services to Oxford from London and elsewhere. Finding Christ Church LibraryOnce you are in Oxford, make your way to Christ Church (see the map of central Oxford for details and the map of Oxford libraries). The main entrance is the gate under Tom Tower which is on St. Aldate's street which leads down-hill south from Carfax, the cross-roads in the middle of Oxford. The library can also be reached from the Canterbury Gate entrance, the large arched gateway at the south end of Oriel Square. When you have reached the college, the custodian at the gate will be able to give you directions to the library. Javascript is required to view this map.
