Work has begun to install glass doors to the main entrance of the Cathedral. This exciting project will allow light to enter the West end of the building and will allow visitors and worshippers to look down the nave towards the altar from outside. For the next two weeks access to the building will only be via the South door, in the Cloister, as it was during the first four hundred years of the college's life.

The first stage of the project is to move the existing oak doors and their frame to a new position just inside where they have been until now. This work will be completed by the end of November. The fitting of the specially designed and beautifully etched glass doors will then take place in the three weeks before Christmas.
