Eighteen Michaelmas Ordinations
On Sunday 24th of September eighteen women and men were ordained as deacons and as priests at Christ Church Cathedral to serve in parishes throughout the diocese of Oxford. In the morning eleven were ordained deacon by the Bishop of Reading and in the afternoon seven were ordained priest by the Bishop of Dorchester. Traditionally, ordination services take place around the feast of St Peter in June (Petertide) and around the feast of St Michael and All Angels (Michaelmas) in September. We wish them all fulfilment in their ministry.
