1000 Years of Oxfordshire

Formed in the West Saxon kingdom of Mercia in about 1007, Oxfordshire has been celebrating 1000 years of history, and Christ Church has marked this by placing 1000 £1 coins around Mercury to raise money for the Chiltern Air Ambulance, the Cathedral School's  charity of the year.
