The Christ Church Cathedral Choir flew off to the Caribbean last Friday morning (19 October) at the invitation of Wayne Moore, the Director of the Kingston College Chapel Choir for a week-long visit to Jamaica. On Sunday 21 October, they sang the Morning Service at the lovely Spanish Town Cathedral (one of the oldest buildings in Kingston) and gave a concert, jointly with the Kingston College Chapel Choir in Holy Trinity Cathedral in the evening.  There is a busy programme of workshops for local school choirs in Kingston, and the Choir will perform a concert at the Anglican Parish Church in the resort town of Mandeville on Wednesday evening.  A day off at the Pebbles Hotel (a resort hotel) will give some rest and respite from singing, and the British High Commissioner (a previous Choral Scholar at Exeter College) is hosting a reception for the Choir on Thursday.

In the photograph above, the choristers are seen sporting the official T shirts which were specially designed for the tour by Jim Godfrey, Canons' Verger and Visitors Officer at Christ Church Cathedral. Below they are shown at the Kingston Cricket Ground.
