Welcome to Canon Ed Newell

It is very good to welcome Canon Edmund Newell, who is the new Sub-Dean and a Canon of Christ Church. He knows Oxford well, having studied at Nuffield College and served later as Chaplain to Bishop Richard Harries.

More recently he has been a Residentiary Canon and Canon Chancellor at St Paul's Cathedral in London. He has moved into a house on Tom Quad with his wife Susan and their two children. Canon Newell was formally Installed as Sub-Dean at Evensong on Saturday the 13th of December, and photographs from the service are shown below.
