Say "No" to Plastic

This weekend, Christ Church began a campaign against the use of plastic bags with a sculpture in Peck Quad. The Aim? To make Christ Church a plastic bag free zone. Christ Church is taking great steps towards becoming a greener college, committing to a 60% cut carbon emissions by 2050. This campaign is one of many small steps towards achieving this goal, and towards making the House as green as possible

This weekend, Christ Church began a campaign against the use of plastic bags with a sculpture in Peck Quad. The Aim? To make Christ Church a plastic bag free zone.

As far as environmental issues go, the use of plastic is one that affects Oxford students on a daily basis. If every undergraduate student at Oxford said yes to just one plastic bag a week, a total of 624,000 would be used every year; while one a day would amount to almost 4.5 million plastic bags.
