Ross McKim, the Principal and Artistic Director of the Rambert School was the guest at Christ Church Cathedral's dramatic After Eight service on November the 8th. Ross was formerly a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Danish Ballet and the London Contemporary Dance Theatre. He also has a doctorate in Theology. He was accompanied by dancers and musicians from the Rambert School who performed during the service.
The After Eight services on Sunday evenings are an exciting development for the cathedral and are described as 'contemporary liturgy for mind and spirit'. In the first series of four services, the connections between science and religion were explored through the insights of four distinguished figures from the world of science. The current series of services is explores religion as a constant source of inspiration for artists, considering how Christianity inspires a leading dancer and choreographer, painter and sculptor, musician, and installation artist.
