The marquees are up and the excitement is growing. Hundreds of leading authors and public figures will be joined by thousands of festival-goers from Saturday 24th of March 2012 for the Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival.
There is a fantastic line-up for the opening weekend including Philip Pullman, Christopher Edge and JD Sharpe on Dickens’ Legacy; one of our greatest living playwrights David Hare; children’s author Michael Morpurgo on his novel War Horse and its translation to screen and stage; Craig Brown, Elanor Bron and Simon Callow; AC Grayling and Roger Scruton debating whether we need God in our society; and renowned film director Alan Parker.
