Appointment of new Sub Dean

The Revd Dr Edmund Newey has been appointed as the new Sub Dean of Christ Church.  He and his family will move to Oxford in July and he will be installed at a service in the Cathedral on 3rd August.  

At present he is Vicar of St Andrew's Handsworth in Birmingham.  He has a degree in Modern Languages (French and German) from Oxford then in Theology from Cambridge, followed by a PhD from Manchester. 

He has taught English in Germany, and French and German in England.  Before working in Birmingham, he was Rector of a parish in Newmarket.

We look forward to welcoming him and his family to our Cathedral and College community.
