Christ Church Commemoration Ball 2014

The Christ Church Commemoration Ball was held on June 21st 2014, and over 1000 guest enjoyed the night long celebration on the theme of 'English Eccentrics' - it was a delightful and truly unforgettable evening.

Christ Church holds a Commemoration Ball only once every three years, so that most students have an opportunity to attend and bring guests to a Ball once during their studies. This year they were treated to a gala reception in Tom Quadrangle – Oxford's largest – complete with a beautiful musical fireworks display, before progressing through the beautiful gardens of Christ Church to enjoy the entertainment and hospitality against the backdrop of Oxford's Cathedral and the verdant Christ Church Meadow. The twelve-hour, white tie Ball concluded with a 'quintessentially English breakfast' on the Broad Walk. Hundreds of guests survived for a final photograph on the Broadwalk at 6am!

We congratulate the Ball Committee and all those involved for hosting and staging such a wonderfully enjoyable event.
