Academic Background

I read History at Lincoln College, Oxford, from 2009-12; I stayed at Lincoln for the MSt in Late Antique and Byzantine Studies (2012-3) and for my DPhil (2013-6). I am now a Research Associate on the ERC-funded project ‘Stories of Survival: Recovering the Connected Histories of Eastern Christianity in the Early Modern World’.

Undergradute Teaching

Late antique and early medieval history, including the Further Subject ‘the Near East in the Age of Justinian and Muhammad’.

Research Interests

Late antique hagiography (especially Greek and Syriac); Eastern Christianity
