However, please note that Christ Church is a working academic and religious institution and some areas, including the Hall and the Cathedral, may close, occasionally without notice. The Hall can sometimes be closed between 12 midday and 2 p.m. The Cathedral closes for choir practice every day at 4:45 p.m. The Hall and the Cathedral opening hours for the week commencing Monday 21st May 2012 are detailed on the attachment at the bottom of this page. This information is updated each Monday for the forthcoming week and may be amended from time to time. For advance information or assistance with queries about opening hours please telephone the Head Custodian on 01865-276492 or e-mail: tourism@chch.ox.ac.uk. The Custodian at the gate will also be pleased to advise you about the best time to enjoy your visit to Christ Church. The visitor entrance is through the large gate in Christ Church's Meadow Building. For more information about how to find us, choose Find Us from the menu on the left. To find out about Christ Church's history, choose History in the main menu. The admission charge includes an illustrated guide to College and Cathedral with details of other events taking place at Christ Church, many of which are open to visitors. BOOKINGS FOR GROUPS OF OVER 15 PEOPLE IS NOW ESSENTIAL AND CAN BE DONE ON THE E-MAIL ADDRESS BELOW, REFUSAL OF ENTRY MAY OCCUR IF THE GROUP HAS NOT BOOKED WITH US IN ADVANCE IF YOU ARE WISHING TO ENTER CHRIST CHURCH WITH A GROUP THERE MUST BE ONE ADULT FOR EVERY 10 CHILDREN ENTERING.
