Christ Church is both Oxford University's largest College and the Cathedral Church for the Anglican Diocese of Oxford.

Visitors are welcomed throughout the year to enjoy Christ Church's beauty and fascinating history.

However, please note that Christ Church is a working academic and religious institution and some areas, including the Hall and the Cathedral, may close, occasionally without notice. The Hall IS OFTEN CLOSED BETWEEN 11:40 AM AND 2:30PM. The Cathedral closes for choir practice every day at 4:45 p.m. From 1 May, last admission is at 4.15p.m.

The Hall and the Cathedral opening hours for the week Monday 21st July 2014 are detailed BELOW. This information is updated each Monday for the forthcoming week and may be amended from time to time. For advance information or assistance with queries about opening hours please telephone the Head custodian on 01865-276492 or alternatively The Tourist Kiosk 01865 286573 or e-mail: tourism@chch.ox.ac.uk.

The Custodian at the gate will also be pleased to advise you about the best time to enjoy your visit to Christ Church.

The visitor entrance is through the large gate in Christ Church's Meadow Building. For more information about how to find us, choose Find Us from the menu on the left.

To find out about Christ Church's history, choose History in the main menu.

Oxford University and Alumni card holders from other Colleges may bring in 1 guest free of charge. This will be reviewed during the year and may be subject to change

Please note: We are being updated every morning on what is happening with the repairs to the Great Hall. We will keep the website updated, as to what is going on. Please be aware that we may close the Great Hall without notice, if this happens then it is a situation beyond our control.
