Shrubs of Winter Interest

During the winter months, some of the shrubs that are inconspicuous in the summer come into their own.

Generally, although their flowers are relatively small they make a greater impact in the winter months partly due to the fact that they are highly scented in order to attract any passing insects to ensure the flowers get pollinated.
