Christ Church College Choir

Michaelmas Term 2021

Dear Freshers,

One of the many activities you can get involved with at Oxford is choral singing – and your College has its very own choir! The choir is made up mostly of Christ Church students (but open to everyone across the university) who sing regularly for services at Christ Church Cathedral. We seek to maintain a high standard of singing in a relaxed, non-auditioned, and friendly atmosphere — with many a post-service pub trip.

Whilst the COVID guidelines continue to change, it is likely that there may be some disruption. In ‘normal times’, we rehearse on Wednesday evenings and sing Monday Evensong, which happens 4–5 times per term in the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral (we are the only student-run choir at Oxford to sing there regularly!), and after Evensong we all have a free dinner together in Hall. We also sing at House Communion each term and go on a road trip in Hilary to sing at another UK Cathedral.

College Choir is a great way to sing some fantastic music and meet people from across the college all in a welcoming social atmosphere. So please sign up here to register your interest and be added to our mailing list.

We will then be in contact to organise our first rehearsal.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
