Data Protection

Christ Church seeks to maintain a lifelong association with its Members. All data will be held securely on the College database under the provisions of the 1998 Data Protection Act.

Data is collected during the course of your relationship with the College and the University and may also be collected from other publicly available sources and third parties. Unless you have requested otherwise, the data will be used by the College, the University and the Christ Church Association for educational, fundraising and social activities. Data may be passed on to regional or overseas old member network organisers for these purposes. Data may also be passed on to third party commercial organisations only when they are working on the College’s behalf, for example to process direct debit or credit card gifts. In these cases your data will only be used for the specific task involved and will not be passed onto any further organisation in any circumstance. Any third party working on the College’s behalf must adhere to a strict confidentiality agreement. Tools may be used to monitor the effectiveness of our communications with you, including email tracking, which records when an e-mail from us is opened and/or how many links are clicked within the message.

By keeping the College up-to-date with your current contact details we can ensure that you are invited to all events relevant to you, including your Gaudy reunions, and keep you informed of Christ Church news. If you no longer wish to be contacted by Christ Church, or wish to alter the way your data are held and used, please email
