Take a seasonal tour of Christ Church's beautiful private gardens and Meadow with our Head Gardener, John James. Learn about their history, conservation, current and future planting schemes and enjoy a few hours of peace and quiet away from the bustling city.

What's Included

  • 1.5 hour guided tour of the Cathedral Garden, Pococke Garden and Masters' Garden, as well as Christ Church Meadow and Rose Garden with our Head Gardener.
  • The tour will take place in English.

We welcome advance notice of the needs of visitors with disabilities. Please email Holly Davies in our Visitor Services Office who will be happy to assist and provide guidance. Please note that not all areas of the tour are wheelchair accessible.

Important Information

There is no dress code for this event but we recommend bringing appropriate clothing for the weather and warm clothes even in good conditions. Please do bring an umbrella in inclement weather. 

Christ Church comprises buildings from several centuries, built in different styles and therefore not constructed in accordance with contemporary building norms. Of course buildings are maintained to a good standard but please note that a level walking surface may not be encountered everywhere. Please take care at all times and wear appropriate footwear.
