For those who know what they want to do or where, we will try to enlist the help of an experienced member. For careers advice, please contact Tony Hart ( with your CV and a covering letter he can forward on to alumni who may be able to help. 

For undergraduates, the Christ Church Association Vacation Scheme complements official internships run by certain employment sectors as well as internships listed by the Oxford University Careers Service. This scheme identifies a limited number of informal vacation jobs or summer internships offered by Christ Church alumni. Please contact the JCR Careers Rep for more information.

How do I confer my MA degree?
BA and BFA graduands are entitled to proceed in due course to the MA degree, which may be taken seven years following original matriculation (in or after the 21st term from matriculation). A £10.00 fee is payable.

Bookings for degree ceremonies may be made through the Administrative Assistant. Before booking, please bear in mind the following University Regulations:

• A candidate may be presented in person for only one degree at each ceremony. This will normally be the superior of the degrees for which he or she is eligible. A candidate may, however, take other degrees in absentia at the same ceremony when a degree is taken in person.
• Once a candidate’s name has been entered he or she may not withdraw from the ceremony. If a candidate is unable to be present, the degree will be conferred in absentia.

How do I order a degree certificate or confirmation letter?

Degree certificates and confirmation letters are available from The Degree Conferrals Office.
