A Chance to say Goodbye

Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted (Matthew 5:4)

Saturday 31 October 2020

Because of the pandemic restrictions, many of us were deprived of the chance to say a proper goodbye to friends and family members who have died in recent months.

Drop in to the Cathedral and light a candle in memory of those you mourn. Leave their names to be read out in a Service of Remembrance. Enjoy some stillness as you remember them before God in this holy place. Tune into the livestream from home in the evening.

10am till 4pm Cathedral open with prayers on the hour

Would you prefer not to come to the Cathedral but still want to light a candle? Have a look at this page on Church of England website for ways of lighting a virtual candle.
