Christian Ethics: Today's Issues
Assisted Dying and Artificial Intelligence were among the topics addressed in a series of free Summer Lectures at Christ Church Cathedral. Starting in July, the six lectures, each given by an expert in the field, looked at key ethical issues of our day from a Christian perspective.
The Revd John Witheridge, an Honorary Chaplain at Christ Church Cathedral, curated this year’s series and said: 'The topics of the last two Summer Lectures series have been largely historical. This year we turn our attention to Christian Ethics, with a focus on issues that are of particular interest and importance today. The Bishop of Carlisle will introduce the series with a lecture that explains why and how Christians form views on moral matters.’
