The Coronavirus - Important Message

The College’s first priority remains protecting the health and safety of all members of the Christ Church community and at this stage of the pandemic that means reducing wherever possible the number of visitors to our various sites.

It is for this reason that Christ Church is now closed to tourists until further notice. Details about when and how we will reopen to tourists will be published as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Our guided tours allow visitors greater insight into the College's history, its architecture, student life, scenes associated with the world of Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. The tour is led by one of our experienced Christ Church custodians and lasts approximately one hour. During the tour you will visit the Masters', Pocock and Cathedral gardens, cloisters, quads, Hall Stairs and Hall (if open at the time of your tour). Following the tour you will have an opportunity to explore the public areas of Christ Church in your own time. Please note there is a small additional fee if you wish to visit the Picture Gallery.

...definitely the way to see Christ Church--even on a cold and rainy day.

Our tour guide was not only tremendously knowledgable but had a really interactive style with the group that made the tour both fun and informative.

I just had a marvellous tour ...I want to thank all of you for your polite, informative and kind assistance to me as a visitor. Our tour guide was pleasant, patient with my questions, and most knowledgable and gracious.
