Academic Background

Gunnar Martinsson studied Computational and Applied Mathematics at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned his Ph.D. in 2002. Prior to that, he studied Mathematics and Engineering Physics at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg where he earned an M.Sc. degree in 1996 and a Tekn.Lic. degree in 1998. After completing his studies, Dr. Martinsson taught at Yale University between 2002 and 2005, and at the University of Colorado at Boulder between 2005 and 2017.
