Meeting Rooms

Christ Church offers traditional meeting rooms and modernised lecture theatres to suit your taste and facilities to support your requirements.  We can supply LCD projectors, screens and laptops, whiteboards and flipcharts.  We also provide water coolers, bottled water and a complimentary Christ Church notepad and pen for each delegate.  All rooms have Wi-Fi internet access.

Please note that in meeting rooms without fixed AV, there is an additional charge for hiring AV equipment.

Most Meeting Rooms are accessible and are either on ground level or have ramp access.  However, some parts of Christ Church are difficult to access for those with walking difficulties, because the building is on different levels.

Room by Room

Blue Boar Lecture Theatre

Available during Vacation

Dimensions:  6.5 m by 16 m. 

Description: Purpose-built lecture theatre with wooden, tiered seating and writing tablets.  Ground floor with wheelchair access.  Small  ‘Green Room’ with  2 tables and a chair through door at the front.                                  

Facilities: Built in data projector and screen, Lectern with fixed mic, 3 roving mics and 2 clip mics.  Air conditioned and hearing loop.

Blue Boar Exhibition Space

Available during Vacation (booked with Blue Boar Lecture Theatre)

Dimensions: 6.5 m by 10.5 m 

Description:  Generally used for refreshment breaks and poster boards.  Flexible seating and tables if required.  Glass doors open giving access to patio area.  Ground Floor with wheelchair access.                                       

Facilities:  Water boiler and sink, fixed water cooler.

Lecture Room 1

Available during Vacation

Dimensions: 8.4 m x 6.4 m

Description:  Lecture Room with character, up a flight of stairs, overlooking  the top of Christ Church cloisters.  Fixed seating.                                      

Facilities:  Built in audio-visual equipment, with internet access, lectern, water cooler.

Lecture Room 2

Available during Vacation

Dimensions:  8.4 m x 5.6 m

Description: Lecture Room with character overlooking Christ Church cloisters.  Flexible seating/tables.  Wheelchair access with use of a ramp (2 steps).

Facilities: Built in audio-visual equipment, with internet access, lectern, water cooler.

McKenna Room

Available during Term & Vacation

Dimensions 10.2 m x 7.8 m

Description:  Traditional room with paintings.  Gas flame fire can be lit in fireplace. Flexible seating.  Wheelchair access using Lift and ramp.

Facilities:  Portable projector and screen, laptop, internet access, lectern, bottled water.

Dodgson Room

Available during Vacation

Dimensions 9.0 m x 5.1 m 

Description:  Traditional room with paintings.  Table can be made larger or smaller.  Wheelchair access using portable ramp.

Facilities: Portable projector and screen, laptop, internet access, bottled water.

Keene Room                                                                      

Available for certain conferences during Vacation

Dimensions 4.9 m x 9.6 m

Description:  Traditional Room with paintings.

Facilities:  Internet access, bottled water

Music Room                                                                         

Available during Vacation

Dimensions:  7.9 m  x 6,6 m.                                       

Description: Plain Room with flexible seating/tables.

Old Library 1

Description:  Small Seminar Room with flexible seating/tables.

Old Library Rooms

Description:  9 Small Seminar Rooms, converted from bedrooms, with flexible seating/tables.  In addition, room suitable for use as an office.

Peck Sets

Available during Vacation (after mid August)

Average Dimensions: 4.4 m x 4.5 m

Description: 12 small, wood panelled Sitting Rooms (off 2 bedrooms), with flexible seating.   Limited chairs with tablets are available .  Wheelchair access to Ground Floor Rooms up two steps using portable ramp.
