Christ Church Theology student awarded Gibbs Prize

Christ Church student Felix Kirkby has been awarded a Gibbs Prize for having secured the best performance of any undergraduate finalist this year in the Honour School of Theology and Religion.

The examiners were deeply impressed by Felix's performance. In the Examiners' Report, he was commended for having composed a 'perfect script' that was further described as a 'tour de force... a stunningly good submission for a sat Finals exam'.

Responding to news of the prize, Felix thanked his tutor: 'I was thrilled (not to mention deeply surprised!) to win the Gibbs Prize in Theology. I’m enormously grateful to Professor Mark Edwards [Christ Church Senior Tutor in Theology] for his care and attentiveness, and thank him enormously for the special steps he’s taken to prepare me for my future academic career.'

We'd like to congratulate Felix for his remarkable achievement, and to wish him all the best for the future.
