Belinda Jack appointed to London’s Oldest Professorship

Gresham College, London’s oldest Higher Education Institution, is delighted to announce the appointment of Christ Church's Dr Belinda Jack as the new Professor of Rhetoric. Her free public lectures on The Mysteries of Reading and Writing will continue the College’s tradition of offering free education for all, which began with the College’s founding in 1597.

Revd Dr Edmund Newey Installed

The Revd Dr Edmund Newey was installed as the new Sub Dean of Christ Church at a special service of Evensong in the cathedral on 3rd August. We welcome him and his family warmly to our cathedral and college community.

Edmund was previously Vicar of St Andrew's Handsworth in Birmingham. He has degrees in Modern Languages (French and German) from Oxford and Theology from Cambridge, and a PhD from Manchester.
