The 19th Andrew Chamblin Memorial Recital: Roger Sayer

2 July, 20:00–21:00
Concert / Performance
Cathedral

We're delighted to welcome award-winning organist Roger Sayer to give this year's Andrew Chamblin Memorial Recital on July 2nd at 8pm.

In demand around the world both as an accompanist and recitalist, Roger is particularly well known for his role as the organist on the Oscar-nominated original score of the film 'Interstellar' (2014). In this hour-long recital, he will perform music by Jackson, Reger, Vivaldi and Bach on our Rieger organ.

The Andrew Chamblin Memorial Concert is given each year in memory of our alumnus Andrew (1970–2006), who studied for a Masters in Physics here in 1991–92. The annual recitals celebrate Andrew's life and his deep passion for music: as well as being a talented scientist, he was an accomplished organist and harpsichordist.

Tickets are free, so simply come along to the Cathedral and join us. You can also tune in live on our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxlxZJSfWp8. We look forward to seeing you!
