Development Manager (Christ Church Cathedral School)

University Scale Grade 7 currently (currently £39,424 – £47,779 with a discretionary range to £51,983) pro rata

Fixed term for two years, working 26.25 hours per week (3.5 days per week)

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Development Manager (Christ Church Cathedral School). This new role offers an exciting opportunity to lead fundraising and alumni engagement for Christ Church Cathedral School as part of the wider Christ Church Development team. Reporting to the Development Director, the postholder will work with the Development Director and Headmaster to develop and deliver a sustainable fundraising programme for the School while identifying opportunities for collaboration across the School, Cathedral and College.

Security Night Porter

£32,108 per annum (University Grade 4)

Permanent, full-time

Summary

We are seeking a professional, confident and reliable Security Night Porter with excellent customer service and communication skills to join our Porters' Lodge team at Christ Church.

Our Security Night Porters provide a professional and welcoming service to students, staff and visitors whilst overseeing the security and safety of the College during the night. The role involves monitoring College systems, responding appropriately to incidents, and helping to ensure a safe, secure and supportive environment for all members of the College community.

Chair of the Cathedral Safeguarding Advisory Panel

£400 per day on a consultancy basis

5 days per year, for a term of 3 years initially

Summary

Christ Church Cathedral is seeking to appoint an independent Chair of the Cathedral Safeguarding Advisory Panel.

This post provides an independent perspective on Christ Church Cathedral’s safeguarding work, and so the postholder will be working for us on a consultancy basis.  The current rate of pay is £400 per day, 5 days per year, for a term of 3 years initially.

Deputy Development Director (Philanthropy)

University Scale Grade 8, currently £49,119 – £58,265, with a discretionary range up to £63,489. A market supplement may be available depending on the candidate’s qualifications and experience

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Deputy Development Director (Philanthropy) with a proven track record of success within fundraising who can work closely with the Development Director to build strong and lasting professional relationships with potential and existing benefactors. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are sought, along with the energy and resilience to be a self-starter with an aptitude to work independently but also as part of a team.

Education and Pilgrimage Officer

University Grade 7 £39,424 – £47,779 per annum (with a discretionary range to £51,983)

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (the possibility of 0.8FTE might be negotiable)

Summary

Christ Church is seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates to join the Cathedral Team as an Education and Pilgrimage Officer starting in January 2027 or earlier if possible.

This role is designed for someone who has proven experience in delivering and developing educational and/or pilgrimage resources across a range of ages. The principal focus of the role will be to collaborate with the Priest Vicar for Education and Pilgrimage in delivering current provision in both fields, as well as supporting the future development of vision and strategy for the Cathedral’s educational and pilgrimage offer for the Cathedral congregation, schools, the whole Diocese, and visitors and pilgrims from around the UK and the world.

Associate Professorship (or Professorship) in Applied Mathematics with Official Studentship (Tutorial Fellowship)

Combined University and College salary from £57,986 to £77,366 per annum plus additional benefits and allowances including an Oxford Living Subsidy of £21,567 per annum. An allowance of £3,199 p.a. would be payable upon award of Full Professor title

Permanent upon completion of a successful review. The review is conducted during the first 5 years

Summary

The Mathematical Institute proposes to appoint an Associate Professor (or Professor) in Applied Mathematics from 1 October 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter and the successful candidate will be appointed as an Official Student at Christ Church (the equivalent of Tutorial Fellows in other colleges).
