Development & Alumni Events Officer

University Scale Grade 5 currently £32,108 - £37,388 (including Oxford University weighting with a discretionary range up to £40,514

Permanent, working 37.5 hours per week

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Development and Alumni Events Officer to be responsible for delivering a diverse event programme including Gaudies, academic lectures, and regional gatherings which encourage alumni and donors to remain connected with the House. Reporting to the Deputy Development Director (Alumni Relations and Stewardship), the postholder will contribute to strengthening the alumni relations strategy at Christ Church through thoughtful planning and efficient delivery of events.

Stipendiary Lecturership in Early Modern History

£16,905 - £18,669 (current rates) per annum, according to qualifications and experience

Fixed-term for one year (1 October 2026 – 30 September 2027)

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a fixed-term Stipendiary Lecturership in Early Modern History. 

This is a part-time temporary, fixed-term position to fulfil a current teaching need. The successful candidate will deliver six hours of tutorial teaching per week, averages over the three eight-week terms of each academic year.

Stipendiary Lecturership in Mathematics in Engineering

£11,270 – 12,446 (current rates) per annum, according to qualifications and experience.

Christ Church invites applications for a Stipendiary Lecturership in Mathematics in Engineering, commencing 01 October 2026. This is a permanent, part-time position to fulfil a standing teaching need.

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver 4 hours of tutorial teaching per week, averaged over the three eight-week terms of each academic year. 

Digital Communications Officer

University Scale Grade 6 currently £35,681 to £41,636 (with a discretionary range up to £45,212 per annum).

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for an experienced Digital Communications Officer to be responsible for the day-to-day delivery across the full range of digital channels: website, social media, video, internal newsletter and more.  We are looking for someone with strong writing and editing skills who is confident in graphic design, competent in the use of our website and digital tools along with a good understanding of effective videography.

Deputy Development Director (Philanthropy)

University Scale Grade 8 currently £49,119 to £58,265 with a discretionary range up to £63,489

Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

Summary

Christ Church invites applications for a Deputy Development Director (Philanthropy) with a proven track record of success within fundraising who can work closely with the Development Director to build strong and lasting professional relationships with potential and existing benefactors. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are sought, along with the energy and resilience to be a self-starter with an aptitude to work independently but also as part of a team.
