Cathedral Singers: Britten's 'A Ceremony of Carols'

13 December, 20:00–21:30
Concert / Performance
Cathedral

The Cathedral Singers of Christ Church perform Benjamin Britten's enduringly popular festive favourite, A Ceremony of Carols, alongside other choral treats in their Christmas concert.

The Cathedral Singers are Christ Church's choir of auditioned volunteers who support our musical worship while the choristers are on school holidays. Singing for over 100 services a year, they are the most active Cathedral volunteer choir in the UK.

In this year's edition of their annual Christmas Concert under the direction of Simon Hogan, they are joined by Richard Moore (organ), Ian Tindale (piano) and Peter Brooks-White (baritone) to perform a concert of festive favourites, with a performance of Britten's 1943 SATB edition of the Ceremony of Carols at its centerpiece. There will also be carols for all to sing.
