Christ Church Cathedral Choir and acclaimed chamber orchestra Britten Sinfonia join forces for James Macmillan's 'Seven Last Words from the Cross' in this year's Choral Meditation for Holy Week.

Commissioned by the BBC in 1994, this work presents the last seven sentences uttered by Christ in the four gospels. Interspersed between the movements are addresses from The Revd Canon Peter Moger, helping us to delve more deeply into the theological and musical content of the piece.

As always, the Choral Meditation for Holy Week is presented as an act of worship, and a gift to the people of the city and Diocese of Oxford. Therefore, entrance is free, and no booking is required.
