Piano recital: Louise Guy
Louise Guy is a second-year Law student at Christ Church and was awarded the William Ewald Instrumental Exhibition on piano. She has performed the Grieg Piano Concerto in BBC Hoddinott Hall, where she will be performing Rachmaninov Piano Concerto no. 2 in December.
This programme reflects her passion for Romantic music, tracing an emotional journey from the love and heartbreak of the song transcriptions to the exuberance of Chopin’s Grande Polonaise and the virtuosic, yet whimsical, La Campanella.
This concert is presented as part of a festival of concerts celebrating the 500th anniversary of the House.

Music has played a central role in the life of Christ Church throughout its history, not least thanks to the work of its world-famous choir established in 1526 with John Taverner as the first Organist and Master of the Choristers.
