Solemn Evensong with Candlemas Procession

Forty days after the birth of Christ, the Christmas and Epiphany season comes to a close with the Feast of the Presentation, also known as Candlemas.

On this day, Christians celebrate the revelation of Jesus as 'a light to the nations and the glory of God's people' by processing with candles while singing joyful carols. You are very warmly invited to join us on a short procession around Tom Quad during this service - candles will be provided.
