Kenneth Theodore Dunbar was born in Clapham, the son of the Revd Alfred G Wilcox MA CF Vicar of St George‘s Battersea Park Road, London S W (Senior Chaplain of the XV (Scottish) Division and the Highland Division) and Mrs Harriet L Wilcox. 

Kenneth was formerly a King‘s Scholar at Westminster School,  where he played a few times in the Westminster Eleven in 1912 (Wisden) and a Westminster Exhibitioner of Christ Church, Oxford. 

He commenced service 13 September 1914, and served in France and Belgium. He was killed in action near Lankhof Chateau, Ypres, and was buried by his father at Reninghelst two days later.
