Peter was born in Oxford in 1923. He was the only son of Ernest Ewart Scuse and his wife Edith Ellis. Peter had two younger sisters.
Ernest Ewart Scuse was the Oxford City Librarian in the 1920s and 1930s and died in Bournemouth in 1969.
Peter was a Pilot Officer [Air Gunner] when he was shot down on 10 June 1944.
He is buried in the Marissel French National Cemetery Grave 243.
His connection to Christ Church is unknown.
